    • Beth Am Celebrates Purim! Sunday, February 25, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Fun for kids of all ages, including: costume parade, Megillah reading, face painting, hot dogs & snacks. Games, prizes and much more! Wednesday, February 28, 7:00 p.m. For adults: Tequila and T’filah Megillah reading. Everyone! Bring a box of pasta to use as your grogger to drown out the name of Haman. (Pasta to be donated to a local food pantry.)

    • Synagogue “Souper Bowl” Monday, February 26, with Voice of the Eagles Merrill Reese as speaker, the voice of the Eagles of more than 40 years. In celebration and in support of our Philadelphia Eagles, we are moving “Souper Bowl Soup Cook-Off” from Sunday, February 4 to Monday, February 26. This is an event for all ages! The fun begins with the soup cook-off featuring local businesses at 6:00 p.m. Come taste delicious soup creations from many local establishments representing a variety of cuisines. Celebrity judges and all attending will vote of the best soups in multiple categories. Judging panel includes the Philadelphia Inquirer’s food writer Michael Klein. Hoagies from Lee’s Southampton, beer and soda will make for a delicious evening. This historic football season can best be described by Merrill Reese. His presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. All-Inclusive Tickets: $20/adult; $10/12 and under.

    • Introduction to Judaism is open to everyone — interfaith couples, spiritual seekers, individuals considering conversion and Jews who want a meaningful adult Jewish learning experience. Beth Am hosts an 18-session series beginning March 1 on Thursdays, 7:30-9:30 p.m. and taught by our Rabbis Leib and Tornberg, our congregant Rabbi Patrice Heller and Rabbi Lance Sussman of KI, in partnership with the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ). URJ synagogue members $180; non-members $275. Partner, friend or family member attending with registrant – no charge.     • Passover: Second Seder in Sixty, Saturday, March 31, 6:00 p.m. Led by Rabbi Robert Leib and Cantor Elena Zarkh. Invite your friends and family to enjoy a delicious, catered Kosher Seder by Barclay Caterers.  $40 per adult/$20 children 12 and younger. Enjoy a complete dinner from Matzo ball soup, main course, sides and delicious dessert. Choice of chicken, salmon or vegetarian entree for adults; chicken fingers and fries for kids.     • This year in Jerusalem… and Tel Aviv, Tzfat and more with Cantor Elena Zarkh and Karen Kantor. See Israel “Through Women’s Eyes” – June 18 – 28, 2018.     • Do you know where your children are (or will be)?! It may be cold outside, but summer is coming! If you are interested in learning more about Jewish camping and scholarships available from the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, Rabbis Leib and Tornberg will be happy to talk with you, and the Kogan family would love to talk about Camp Harlam.
