- Synagogue “Souper Bowl” Monday, February 26, with Voice of the Eagles Merrill Reese as speaker, the voice of the Eagles of more than 40 years. In celebration and in support of our Philadelphia Eagles, we are moving “Souper Bowl Soup Cook-Off” from Sunday, February 4 to Monday, February 26. This is an event for all ages! The fun begins with the soup cook-off featuring local businesses at 6:00 p.m. Come taste delicious soup creations from many local establishments representing a variety of cuisines. Celebrity judges and all attending will vote of the best soups in multiple categories. Judging panel includes the Philadelphia Inquirer’s food writer Michael Klein. Hoagies from Lee’s Southampton, beer and soda will make for a delicious evening. This historic football season can best be described by Merrill Reese. His presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. All-Inclusive Tickets: $20/adult; $10/12 and under.
- Introduction to Judaism is open to everyone — interfaith couples, spiritual seekers, individuals considering conversion and Jews who want a meaningful adult Jewish learning experience. Beth Am hosts an 18-session series beginning March 1 on Thursdays, 7:30-9:30 p.m. and taught by our Rabbis Leib and Tornberg, our congregant Rabbi Patrice Heller and Rabbi Lance Sussman of KI, in partnership with the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ).
