HIGH HOLY DAY SERVICE INFORMATION This year, High Holy Day services will be a hybrid of in person and virtual. In person services will be limited to congregants only - we are unable to offer in person services to guests, including extended family who are non-members. There will be no tickets this year and check-in will be verified at the door. Masks will be required for all attendees, regardless of vaccination status. ________________________________________________
High Holy Day Swag “Bag” Pick-Up August 16-31 ~ 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Beginning Monday, August 16, stop by the synagogue office during the day and we will have your special bag ready! Each bag will contain a Sacred Times, DIY Tashlich booklet, a calendar for the New Year, and a 75th Jubilee surprise. Bags will be available for pickup through August 31. Please bring a canned food item for the Jenkintown Food Cupboard.

Selichot Service, Saturday, August 28, 7:00 PM in the Beth Am parking lot!
Start the holiday off by attending our outdoor Selichot service. Chairs will be provided.
Attendance will be limited, so be sure to call us at 215-886-8000 to RESERVE your outdoor seating. Health and safety measures will be enforced. ________________________________________________
HIGH HOLY DAY PRAYER BOOK INFORMATION
This High Holy Day season we will use Mishkan HaNefesh for Erev Rosh HaShanah, the first and second days of Rosh HaShanah, Kol Nidrei, and throughout Yom Kippur Day.
(Our own Book of Remembrance will be used for Yizkor, including the names of loved ones, along with special readings).
If you have not already purchased your own set of Mishkan HaNefesh, we encourage you to do that now! You can order on-line, direct from the publisher, the Central Conference of American Rabbis (CCARPress.org). Large print books are available. CCAR Press is currently offering a 30% discount on HHD prayer books through August 16 with promo code HHD5782.
There will be no prayer books available to loan.

HIGH HOLY DAY FOOD DRIVE
Each year at the Jewish Holidays, Beth Am participates in the annual High Holy Day Food Drive.
Over 23,000 Jewish families in Greater Philadelphia live with food insecurity and 20% of our region’s Jewish population falls under the poverty line. With these facts, it is not surprising that Philadelphia is one of the hungriest cities in the United States. Your participation in this drive will help supplement the Mitzvah Food Pantries for several months and directly support your neighbors.
We will be collecting the following food items from Monday September 6 through Thursday, September 30:
Cheerios whole grain oats Gluten Free Breakfast cereal, 8.9 oz.
Kosher Strawberry Preserves 12 oz. jar
Please drop off your donations when you come to the Temple for services or meetings, or in the bins at the back door.
